Did you know we also have studies for children? We sure do! Toy makers, tv and film executives, video game developers, and more all want to find ways to make their products more appealing to the children and teenagers that use them. Conducting market research with children is important because while kids don’t have money of their own, they do influence the purchases of their parents. One favorite character can lead to the purchase of movies, toys, bedsheets, video games, or even a family vacation to Disney World. In that sense, children have a lot of buying power. We have also found that children tend to be more honest and blunt when it comes to sharing their opinions, which works out great for us!
When conducting research with children, it is important to take into account the differences between kids and adults. Interviewing a 6 year old will be different than interviewing a 16 year old, which will be different than interviewing a 36 year old. Language and question types are adapted for children’s brains that are still growing and developing. According to an article by Lieberman Research Worldwide, using a scale of 1-10 should be avoided for children under 8, as results tend to be inconsistent. Studies involving children are also shorter and more fast paced to take their shorter attention spans into consideration. We make sure your kids feel safe and comfortable when they participate.
While you do need to be over 18 to create a member profile, we have studies available for all ages. Studies for children are listed alongside the other studies on our website. Complete the pre-screener with your child while logged into your member portal. If you’d like us to reach out to you regarding study opportunities for your children, make sure to list them on your profile. It is important to list their ages as well, so we can reach out to you directly when new and fun opportunities arise. How fun would it be if your child helped make the next big decision for their favorite TV show? What if they were playing a video game and they noticed a new detail on a character that they discussed? Big decisions are being made by little minds, multi million dollar decisions. There are in person opportunities where they can test new products, as well as virtual studies that are completed via Zoom where they will visually see products and give their feedback. Keep an eye out for all of the latest studies for the whole family in your member portal!
